Vincent van Ojen was graficus. Hij volgde zijn opleiding aan de Kunstacademie te ’s-Hertogenbosch. Zijn grafisch werk was vernieuwend door het toepassen van kleur, wat niet gebruikelijk was. Met zijn rijke en overtuigende kleurgebruik toonde hij aan dat de grafische kunst niet onderdeed voor de schilderkunst. Ook zijn houtsneden zijn bijzonder, vooral door de grote technische vaardigheden van de kunstenaar. De traditionele hoekigheid van houtsneden is bij van Ojen ver te zoeken. Door zijn specialisatie in deze techniek haalt hij verschillende, niet eerder gekende mogelijkheden van de houtsneden naar de oppervlakte. Hiermee komt hij tot bijzondere resultaten. Vincent van Ojen laat zich graag inspireren door thema’s als natuur, landschap en stilleven. Ook werkt hij een enkele keer met interieuren en menselijke figuren. Meestal is het onderwerp in meer of mindere mate herkenbaar, maar in zijn abstracties vaak ondergeschikt gemaakt aan de compositorische opbouw.
Vincent van Ojen is internationaal vertegenwoordigd in zowel zakelijke als privécollecties.
In 1981 werd hij eerste bij de jubileumkunstprijs Brabanthallen te ’sHertogenbosch.

Vincent van Ojen was a graphic artist. He studied at the Art Academy in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. His graphic work was innovative due to the use of colour, which was not common. With his rich and convincing use of colour, he demonstrated that graphic art was no less than painting. His woodcuts are also special, especially due to the great technical skills of the artist. The traditional angularity of woodcuts is nowhere to be found in Van Ojen’s work. By specialising in this technique, he brings various previously unknown possibilities of woodcuts to the surface. With this, he achieves special results. Vincent van Ojen likes to be inspired by themes such as nature, landscape and still life. He also occasionally works with interiors and human figures. Usually the subject is recognisable to a greater or lesser extent, but in his abstractions it is often made subordinate to the compositional structure. Vincent van Ojen is represented internationally in both business and private collections. In 1981 he came first at the anniversary art prize Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
