Consuelo Vinchira is kunstenaar en sinds 1984 gevestigd in Spanje, waar ze actief is in haar atelier in Madrid. Haar werk concentreerde zich aanvankelijk op graveren en schilderen, maar geleidelijk aan begon ze ook andere kunstvormen te onderzoeken. Haar werk heeft nu een multidisciplinair karakter, met gebruikmaking van beeldhouwkunst, fotografie, audiovisuele installaties en het creëren van kunstenaarsboeken, om dieper in te gaan op het hoofdthema van haar werk: De Vluchtelingen. Gedurende haar carrière heeft ze op verschillende plaatsen een aantal van de meest opmerkelijke tentoongesteld in vele landen en op prestigieuze locaties.
Volgende projecten: Deelname aan de XIV graveerbiënnale en nieuwe afbeeldingen, Parijs, Frankrijk. Deelname aan kunstenaarsboekbiënnale, Milaan, Italië. Presentatie van kunstenaarsboek in de boekwinkel La Buena Vida, Madrid, Spanje. Tentoonstelling in Ramòn y Cajal advocaten, Madrid, Spanje. Deelname aan het Non Toxic making book project van Londen.

Consuelo Vinchira is an artist based in Spain since 1984, where she works in her studio in Madrid. Her work initially focused on engraving and painting, but gradually she began to explore other art forms. Her work now has a multidisciplinary character, using sculpture, photography, audiovisual installations and the creation of artist’s books, to delve deeper into the main theme of her work: The Refugees. Throughout her career she has exhibited some of the most remarkable works in various places, in many countries and in prestigious locations.
