Edmondo Bacci studeerde van 1932 tot 1937 aan de Academie voor Schone Kunsten te Venetië.
Zijn werk is abstract, uitbundig en kleurrijk.
Zijn eerste solo tentoonstelling was in 1945 in de Galleria del Cavallino te Venetië. Daarna kreeg hij grote bekendheid in Italië en exposeerde in tal van plaatsen. In 1958 had hij een solo tentoonstelling in New York, gevolgd door exposities op andere locaties in de Verenigde Staten.
Hij nam vele malen deel aan de Biënnale van Venetië, waar in 1958 een speciale zaal voor hem ingericht werd. In 1959 nam hij een prijs in ontvangst van de Stad Venetië.
In 1972 heeft hij een serie litho’s gemaakt bij een gedicht van Guido Ballo.

His work is abstract, exuberant and colourful.
His first solo exhibition was in 1945 in the Galleria del Cavallino in Venice. After that he became very well known in Italy and exhibited in many places. In 1958 he had a solo exhibition in New York, followed by exhibitions at other locations in the United States.
He participated many times in the Venice Biennale, where a special room was set up for him in 1958. In 1959 he received a prize from the City of Venice.
In 1972 he made a series of lithographs for a poem by Guido Ballo.
